Michael and Allen from MJ Gallery invited me to hold a show in Detroit. In response I invited Thom Donovan to host a reading and conversation between Detroit natives and poets Isaac Richard Pool, Anna Vitale, and Tyrone Williams. The conversation focused on poetic discourse and the artist as a gentrifier. Prints depicting colonial architecture in Richmond and Detroit were captioned with texts and exhibited in the gallery space.
